General Tour Questions

What kind of tours do you offer?
We offer premium small-group tours through Belize that blend cultural immersion, soft adventure, and time to relax. Each itinerary is curated for meaningful travel experiences, with expert guides and personalized support throughout.

Who are your tours designed for?
Our journeys are perfect for solo travelers, couples, and small groups of friends or family. Most of our guests are curious, active, and seeking a deeper connection with Belize’s landscapes, cultures, and cuisine — while still enjoying high-quality accommodations and support.

Are your tours suitable for older travelers?
Yes. Many of our guests are in their 50s, 60s, or 70s. We balance adventure with comfort and build in flexible time to relax. Activities like snorkeling or exploring ruins are always optional.

Are your tours suitable for younger travelers?
Our tours are crafted primarily for adults and teens. Children under age 10 may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on group size, rooming configurations, and activity suitability. Please contact us before booking.

How many people are in each group?
Each trip is capped at 18 guests or fewer to ensure a personalized, small-group experience.

Do you offer custom or private tours?
We occasionally offer custom departures for private groups, special occasions, or interest-based themes like culinary travel or photography. Contact us if you’d like to explore a tailored experience.

What’s included in the tour package?
Each premium journey includes:

  • 7 nights in hand-selected boutique accommodations

  • Internal air and ground transfers

  • Two guided experiences

  • Arrival and departure support

  • A group breakfast and a final evening group dinner

  • All taxes, entrance fees, and standard gratuities

  • Small-group flexibility and personalized attention

Optional excursions, additional meals, and alcohol are not included.

What’s the typical itinerary format?
We spend 3 nights in Belize’s lush rainforest, 3 nights along the Caribbean coast or cayes, and 1 night in Belize City for ease of international departures. In some cases, this may shift to 4 nights in one location and 3 in another, depending on availability.

Can I arrive early or extend my stay?
Yes. We can help arrange additional nights in Belize before or after the tour for an additional fee. Contact us for support.

Booking & Payment

How do I book a tour?
Visit our Book Tours page to select your preferred trip and pay your deposit. If you have questions before booking, email us at info@exploringearthtogether.com.

How much is the deposit?
Deposits vary depending on how far in advance you book. For trips more than six months out, the deposit is 10% of the tour price. You’ll see the current deposit amount at checkout.

When is the remaining balance due?
You’ll receive a payment schedule after booking. Final payments are typically due 60 to 90 days before your tour. Exact due dates depend on when you book and will be clearly communicated.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, PayPal, and ACH bank transfers. In-person check payments may be arranged for Alaska residents.

Can I pay in full upfront?
Yes. When booking, you can choose to pay the deposit or the full amount, including a single supplement if applicable.

Rooming & Accommodations

What kind of accommodations do we use?

We partner with a mix of boutique hotels, nature-immersed lodges, and locally run stays—balancing comfort, connection, and access to each region’s best experiences.
In the rainforest, we select small-scale lodges that blend into their natural surroundings. In town centers and coastal areas, we prioritize walkability, cultural immersion, and well-located resorts that support local communities.

What does ‘double occupancy’ mean?
All pricing is based on double occupancy — two adults per room. If you’re traveling solo, we can arrange a private room for an additional single supplement fee.

Can I share a room if I’m traveling solo?
Yes. If you’re open to sharing with another guest of the same gender, we’ll do our best to match you for the double occupancy rate.

Can families stay together?
Depending on the tour and lodging, families may be able to share a room. Let us know your group size and we’ll advise you on rooming options.

Belize Travel Information

When is the best time to visit Belize?
Our tours run November through June, offering the best weather window — with dry days, comfortable temperatures, and vibrant wildlife.

What is the weather like in Belize?
Expect warm tropical weather year-round, typically ranging from 75–90°F (24–32°C). Rain is more likely in June–October. We provide packing tips to help you prepare.

Do I need a passport or visa?
A valid passport is required. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for visits under 30 days. Travelers from other countries should check local entry requirements.

What about health and safety?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes medical coverage and trip cancellation. Belize has modern clinics and hospitals in major towns. We also encourage guests to register with the U.S. State Department’s STEP program or equivalent.
